Girls are brilliant at computing — creative, intelligent, and full of amazing ideas. But girls only make up 17% of A-level Computing students! The Sisters in2 Tech are here to change that! In our sessions, girls take the lead on projects that matter to them - learning in a safe, supportive space - following their interests together and growing in confidence as digital creators and changemakers.
Come and JOIN THE SISTERS IN2 TECH — a FUN, FREE and
FRIENDLY computing club for GIRLS ONLY where
every girl is welcome, no matter how much (or how little!)
experience she has.
We meet SUNDAY AFTERNOONS from 2–4pm at the
TIDDINGTON COMMUNITY CENTRE. Girls aged 7 AND UP can
bring a laptop or tablet if they have one — but don’t worry if not!
You can easily share with others or use a club device.
The most important thing is that you're ready to
EXPLORE, CREATE, and HAVE FUN! Our venue has
a BIG SCREEN, PROJECTOR and SOUND SYSTEM, so we can
WATCH and CELEBRATE each other’s ACHIEVEMENTS —
from DIGITAL ART, ANIMATIONS, GAMES, WEBSITES and MINETEST CREATIONS to iMovie FILMS and TRAILERS which have been FILMED ON THE TCC'S STAGE!
There’s DRINKING WATER and TOILETS available -
no need to worry about that!
So, if you
LOVE MAKING THINGS, being CREATIVE with COMPUTERS, or
want to HELP CHANGE THE WORLD with TECH, all while
MAKING NEW FRIENDS in a RELAXED and SUPPORTIVE space, you are
WELCOME to COME ALONG and JOIN US!
